How a private sale collection works
Agree the sale and payment with the seller first. Then give us the collection address, the delivery address, the vehicle and a collection window that suits the seller. We confirm a fixed price and a time.
On collection we inspect the car with the seller and note any existing damage before loading. On delivery we unload it where you want it and you check it over before we leave. If the seller wants to see who is collecting, we are happy to call them first.
Untaxed, no MOT or not running
A car on a flatbed is not being driven, so it does not need tax or an MOT to be transported. That makes us the straightforward option for a car that needs work before it goes back on the road, or a non-runner bought as a project. We carry wheel skates and a winch for cars that will not roll.
Long distance purchases
Buying from England or Wales is common, and long-distance moves are quoted as one fixed price for the route before we set off, not per mile on the day. It is often cheaper than a train ticket, a hotel and a long drive home in a car you do not know yet.
Local moves across Glasgow and Lanarkshire are £60 + £1.50 per mile. Long-distance and UK-wide collections are quoted as one fixed price for the route, agreed before we set off. Skate and winch fees (£40 each) apply only to non-runners that need them.

Do I need to be there when the car is collected?
No. As long as the seller is there with the keys and knows we are coming, we can collect without you. We call you once it is loaded and on its way.
Is the car insured while it is on your truck?
Yes, vehicles are fully insured while in our care, from loading to delivery.
Can you collect a car from England?
Yes, from anywhere in mainland UK, England and Wales included. Long-distance jobs are quoted as one fixed price for the route.
