The M80 runs north from the M73 toward Stirling, passing Cumbernauld. It's the main route between Glasgow and Stirling/Perth and carries heavy commuter and freight traffic. We cover the full length 24 hours a day.

J4–J6 (Cumbernauld)
The Cumbernauld stretch — busiest part of the M80 with multiple exits into the town. Frequent breakdown calls from commuter traffic. Average arrival: 25–35 minutes.
J7–J9 (Cumbernauld to Stirling)
The northern section approaching Stirling and the M9 junction. More open road, less traffic. Average arrival: 35–50 minutes — further north you are, longer we take.

Pricing for M80 recovery
Motorway and live-lane recovery is charged at our standard motorway rate: £120 flat call-out + £1.50 per mile (plus VAT). This rate applies regardless of time of day — there are no out-of-hours or holiday surcharges.
Why the flat rate vs local? Motorway work requires extra safety equipment, coordination with Traffic Scotland or Police Scotland, and significantly higher risk to our staff. The flat rate also means you know exactly what you're paying before we set off — no "motorway surcharge" surprises.
