The M9 connects Stirling to Edinburgh, branching off the M80 at Bannockburn and running east through Falkirk and Linlithgow toward the capital. We cover the M9 regularly, particularly the Falkirk and Stirling sections where our response times are strongest. If you're broken down on the M9 and don't have roadside assistance, call us — we'll be honest about arrival time depending on where you are.
Junction-by-junction coverage
J1–J3 (Stirling to Bannockburn)
The western entry near Stirling where the M9 branches from the M80. Open road with good visibility. Average arrival from our Motherwell base: 40–55 minutes.
J4–J6 (Falkirk / Grangemouth)
The busiest M9 section — Falkirk interchanges and the Grangemouth industrial zone carry heavy HGV traffic. Frequent breakdown spots around the complex junctions. Average arrival: 40–50 minutes.
J7–J10 (Linlithgow to Edinburgh outskirts)
The eastern approach toward Edinburgh — more open, fewer services. The further east you are, the longer our arrival time. Average arrival: 50–70 minutes. For Edinburgh city breakdowns, a local operator may reach you faster.

Pricing for M9 recovery
Motorway and live-lane recovery is charged at our standard motorway rate: £120 flat call-out + £1.50 per mile (plus VAT). This rate applies regardless of time of day — there are no out-of-hours or holiday surcharges.
Why the flat rate vs local? Motorway work requires extra safety equipment, coordination with Traffic Scotland or Police Scotland, and significantly higher risk to our staff. The flat rate also means you know exactly what you're paying before we set off — no "motorway surcharge" surprises.
